Chiefs get one last shot in stopping Red Lions’ redemption
DIE ANOTHER DAY. Jiovani Jalalon and Arellano want nothing more than to extend the Finals series to a do-or-die Game 3.

Finals Game 2 on Tuesday at the MOA Arena

3:45 PM – San Beda vs Arellano

San Beda College is one win away from their ninth championship in the last 11 years.

And the only one that can prevent such a thing from happening is a team they own a 4-0 record against in the NCAA 92 Seniors Basketball Tournament.

The Red Lions go all out for both a season and a Finals sweep of Arellano University at the MOA Arena, Tuesday.

Still, the Chiefs are nothing but determined to live to fight another day when Game 2 tips-off at 3:45 PM. All of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/ncaa.

San Beda thwarted their modern-day rivals in Game 1 by a score of 88-85.

The Red Lions’ latest win kept their slate spotless against Arellano through four games in the tournament. Robert Bolick, Davon Potts, and company are hoping to ride the momentum all the way to reclaiming the throne they lost to Letran a season ago.

That’s easier said than done, however, as they face “The Bus Driver” Jiovani Jalalon who wants nothing more than to end his collegiate career with a championship.

Before tip-off, the league will award Mapua’s Allwell Oraeme with the Most Valuable Player and the Defensive Player of the Year awards for the second year in a row.

Harry Nzeusseu of Lyceum of the Philippines University is also set to be recognized as Rookie of the Year while Oraeme, Jalalon, Bright Akhuetie (Perpetual), Donald Tankoua (San Beda), and Hamadou Laminou (EAC) are set to comprise the Mythical Team.
