PRIDE. San Beda will go into next season's war with a fresh face calling the shots.
San Beda College remains intact for its title defense for the next season of the NCAA.
Now, the only thing missing is a head coach to keep it all together.
Team manager Jude Roque has confirmed on Wednesday the departure of Jamike Jarin from the Red Lions’ den. “We will always be grateful for the fruitful two years where he nurtured the Red Lions. Coach Jamike will always be part of the Bedan family,” he said in a statement.
In doing so, Roque also acknowledged that Jarin is headed for National University. “We wish coach Jamike the best as he takes on a new challenge as head coach of NU,” he said.
In two seasons under Jarin, San Beda finished as runner-up and then as champion.
With the 46-year-old moving on, the Lions are said to be choosing from more than capable candidates such as Boyet Fernandez, Louie Alas, and Jimmy Alapag.
Whoever will be chosen will inherit a fully-loaded lineup with Robert Bolick, Javee Mocon, and AC Soberano still leading the way.
