Mapua standing in way of first round sweep for LPU

Already off to its best-ever start in school history, Lyceum of the Philippines University will go all-out to sweep the first round of the NCAA 93 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
While only one-win Mapua University stands in their way, the Pirates remain laser-focused on their tall task when they take the floor of the Filoil Flying V Centre on Friday.
The league-leaders go for their ninth in as many games at 2:00 PM and all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and livestream.
The gameday will also feature matchups between struggling Arellano University and luckless College of St. Benilde at 12:00 PM as well as between dangerous teams University of Perpetual Help and Emilio Aguinaldo College at 4:00 PM.
Meanwhile, in Juniors action, defending champion Malayan High School of Science Red Robins (6-1) are looking for a bounce back win at the expense of also rebound-minded LPU Junior Pirates (4-4) at 10:00 AM while the CSB-La Salle Greenhills Junior Blazers (6-2) figure in a heavyweight bout against the Arellano Braves (4-3) at 8:00 AM. Also, the Perpetual Junior Altas (3-5) and the EAC Brigadiers (1-7) will do battle at 6:00 PM.
