For some divine twist of fate, Ray Allen, widely celebrated as one of, if not the best three-point snipers in NBA history is in the Philippines.
Filipinos were left wondering as to why Allen found his way into the country in the first place.
But even the most die-hard hoopheads could only watch in wonder as the two-time NBA champion met the NCAA league-leaders Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates.
After meeting the team, the former Boston Celtics and Miami Heat star delivered an inspiring message to the team, reminding them to stay hungry, and warned them of the pitfalls of complacency, especially when you're at the top.
“It’s hard when you’re at the top right? It means you have to work extra hard,” Allen cleared.
“You don’t win a championship the day they give you the trophy. You win the championship every morning when you wake up at 6 in the morning,” he shared. “That’s where the reward comes.”
Allen was able to silence the 9-0 Lyceum Pirates, a feat no one has done so far in the NCAA season 93 by delivering one of the most inspiring and downright awesome pep talks any basketball player can be a part of.
The surreal moment was all caught on video, and was posted by the Lyceum University's Facebook page.

Think he'll join the Pirates for a three-point shooting session? Or maybe it's for a different thing altogether. In any case, the NCAA just got a lot scarier for schools not named Lyceum.
