JRU hunting for solo third at expense of Perpetual

4:00 PM – LPU vs San Sebastian
With four teams breathing down its neck, even third-running Jose Rizal University is now in a virtual must-win situation in the stretch run of the NCAA 93 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The Heavy Bombers want nothing more than to hold onto solo third when they do battle with still dangerous University of Perpetual Help on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
A win after the game tipping off at 12:00 PM for 7-6 JRU will keep them ahead of four other teams while a win for the 4-8 Altas will make the playoff mix even more complicated than it already is. All of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and via livestream.
In the day’s other games, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and Emilio Aguinaldo College go at it in a must-win game at 2:00 PM while Lyceum of the Philippines University welcomes a challenge by San Sebastian College-Recoletos at 4:00 PM.
And in Juniors action, the fifth-running San Sebastian Staglets (7-6) figure in a crucial contest against the sixth-running LPU Junior Pirates (7-7) at 6:00 PM. Also, the 8-6 Letran Squires a bounce back win at the expense of the 1-13 EAC Brigadiers at 10:00 AM while also-rans 4-8 Perpetual Junior Altas and 4-9 JRU Light Bombers are pitted against each other at 8:00 AM.
