League-leading Pirates only want to keep getting better

UNFINISHED PRODUCT. LPU is not yet done getting better - not by a long shot.
Lyceum of the Philippines University is two wins away from a sweep of the elimination round.
And they have been winning and winning and winning (you get the idea) all while putting on a show. “It’s really fun to watch if you see your players having fun while playing their hearts out. It’s the inspiration that’s really been there,” a more than satisfied head coach Topex Robinson said.
From here, the Pirates only want to keep on doing what they have been doing. “We want to keep on winning because that’s just a result of our culture,” the always amiable mentor said.
To do so, the league-leaders have to know, and remember, that they really haven’t won anything yet. “It’s my responsibility to let everybody know that it’s still gonna be a long way to go for us. We still have lots to work on,” Robinson said.
That is exactly why even in practices, they are continuing to put on the work. “Again, we just need to make sure that we always try to improve. That’s why our practices have been super hard lately,” the head coach shared.
He then continued, “That means there’s no signs of relaxing on our end.”
And while all the other teams have their sights set on taking down the perfect Pirates, they themselves say that their only real enemy is themselves. As Robinson put it, “Ang kalaban namin palagi is ourselves. Mahirap kasi na wala kang hinahabol so it’s always gonna be your goal to better yourself.”
Yes, just imagine an even better version of an offense that is first in points, assists, fastbreak points, second chance points, and pace per game as well as a defense that is tops in rebounds per game.
You better watch out, rest of the NCAA.
