The Lady Knights clawed their way to a close four-set decision against Lyceum of the Philippine University, picking up a 28-26, 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, win Thursday at the San Juan Arena.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran just got some much-needed separation in the NCAA Season 93 women's volleyball tournament.

The Lady Knights clawed their way to a close four-set decision against Lyceum of the Philippine University, picking up a 28-26, 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, win Thursday at the San Juan Arena.

Letran got back to .500 with a 2-2 mark following the win, separating themselves from the Lady Pirates and the idle San Sebastian Lady Stags.

All three teams were tied with identical 1-2 record prior to today's ball game.

Marie Charlmagne Simborio was at the forefront of the attack for the Lady Knights, firing 17 points on 14 attacks.

Faith Torres added 15 points for Letran while Elizza Abitan also finished in double figures, dropping 11 markers.

For Lyceum, Christine Miralles' 21-point outburst went for naught as the Lady Pirates dropped to 1-3 following the defeat.

Captain Bien Juanillo was good for 17 points for the Lady Pirates.
