San Beda will be up against a familiar foe as it opens its title defense in NCAA Season 94

As if the NCAA’s season-opening matchup between traditional defending champion and host needed even more color, San Beda University will be commencing its title defense up against former coach Frankie Lim and the University of Perpetual Help side he now coaches.

The Red Lions begin their quest for a three-peat in the Men’s Basketball Tournament opposite the Altas who hope their new head coach brings along the winning culture on Saturday at the MOA Arena.

The first game of the 94th Season of the country’s oldest collegiate league tips-off at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD and via livestream.

San Beda is mostly intact for its title defense with Robert Bolick and Javee Mocon still leading the way. Adding prized prospects like James Canlas and Evan Nelle into the mix and they are feeling good about capturing their 22nd overall championship.

The players may now be different, but Mendiola’s winning culture is something that coach Frankie knows a thing or two about. With Prince Eze and AJ Coronel as his cornerstones, he is hoping to build much of the same now in Perps.
