Bong Quinto and JP Calvo are now in complete control of wherever Letran will go
Colegio de San Juan de Letran has entered the winners’ circle in the NCAA 94 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Unlike last time, the Knights did not lose a lead in the final frame.
That’s because Bong Quinto and JP Calvo took charge when it mattered most.
Head coach Jeff Napa said that is nothing but a welcome development – especially a week after a collapse cost them their first game. As he put it, “Happy ako sa mga leaders namin kasi nadala nila yung team. Yun lang naman yun.”
For Quinto, that loss was on him and Calvo – and as such, bouncing back from that was on the two of them as well. “Sobrang nakakahiya. Ilang days ding ‘di ako makatulog after ng game na yun,” he shared.
He then continued, “Siguro nga, dapat yung maturity namin dapat lumabas e.
With Letran rejiggered for more than a playoff push, much is expected from its graduating stars. “Coming from the loss, in-address namin talaga yung mga dapat na i-correct namin.
The even better news for the faithful over in Intramuros is that their two leaders are far from alone.
And with everybody locked in, the Knights can rest assured that their leaders are ready and raring to do their job.
