AC Soberano is now a two-time champion in the NCAA All-Star Three-Point Shootout
A year ago, AC Soberano was unable to defend his throne in the Three-Point Shootout.
Now, the San Beda University sharpshooter has resoundingly reclaimed his place as the league’s top marksman in the Season 94 edition of the event.
Starting strong and firing a final score of 16 points, Soberano edged out Mapua University’s Exi Biteng in the Finals on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Of course, the now two-time champion said last year’s defeat in the Shootout fueled his fire to win. “Na-frustrate ako last year kasi parang ‘di ko binigay yung best to. Nagpursigi ako makuha ngayon,” he shared.
In the end, that much was evident as Soberano bested the likes of Biteng, Ry Dela Rosa of Jose Rizal University, Jerome Garcia of Emilio Aguinaldo College, Toci Tansingco of Lyceum of the Philippines University, Rence Alcoriza of Arellano Univeristy, Carlo Young of College of St. Benilde, Koy Galvelo of Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Luke Sese of University of Perpetual Help, and Allyn Bulanadi of San Sebastian College-Recoletos.
