As we head into the second round of the NCAA Season 94 Men’s Basketball Tournament, things begin to take shape and the best teams in the tournament slowly distance themselves from the pack.
At this point in the season, we’ve also seen enough of all ten teams to be able to rank their jersey designs from best to…not best.
Of course, these rankings are our own and you’re all more than welcome to disagree with us.
With that being said, here are our NCAA Season 94 Men’s Basketball Uniform Power Rankings!
10 - EMILIO AGUINALDO COLLEGE
Conservative would be the optimal word to describe the Generals’ kits for Season 94. With the letters E-A-C emblazoned on the chest in big, bold letters and five stars below, there isn’t much else that stands out on their unis this year.
9 - SAN SEBASTIAN COLLEGE-RECOLETOS
Much like EAC, San Sebastian College-Recoletos parades a pretty simple-looking set for this season. In their blood-and-gold school colors, the Stags’ jerseys feature their school name on the chest along with a fading bar on the sides.
8 - ARELLANO UNIVERSITY
If EAC and San Sebastian went a little too conservative, Arellano’s seems a bit too much. Making use of all their school colors - blue, red, and silver, the Chiefs’ unis feature three designed stripes running down the sides. On the back, a silhouette of a chief can be made out underneath the player name and number.
7 - MAPUA UNIVERSITY
The Cardinals’ unis feature their classic MAPUA text on the chest with a stylized side panel and an oversized tab on the back that houses the Cardinal logo above the players’ name and number. On the shorts, the initials M-U can be seen on the left leg.
6 - SAN BEDA UNIVERSITY
In keeping with the minimalist theme, the defending champion Red Lions have one of the cleanest looking unis this season. Simple SAN BEDA text on the chest to go with two horizontal bars around the side of the top. On the shorts, two horizontal bars can be found near the bottom as well, while the Red Lion logo and the player’s number can be seen on the right side, and the word RED LIONS on the left.
5 - JOSE RIZAL UNIVERSITY
Veering away from their usual, traditional look, the Heavy Bombers adopted a more modern-looking kit for Season 94. A prism-like design dominates the jerseys, while sharp designs on the sides give the JRU uniforms a little more attitude.
4 - COLLEGE OF SAINT BENILDE
Strong and simple is what can best describe the Blazers’ jerseys for this year. In classic green and white, the word BENILDE is boldly placed on the chest, while a simple accent gives the shorts a bit of variety.
3 - LYCEUM OF THE PHILIPPINES UNIVERSITY
Wine, white, and grey is a pretty tough color-combination to pull off, but finally, the Pirates manage to do it. The letters L-P-U and the number can be in big, bold lettering a mile away, while side accents add more color to the kits. On the left a pair of crossed swords give the jerseys their identity.
2 - COLEGIO DE SAN JUAN DE LETRAN
Always a strong contender when it comes to jersey designs, the Knights keep it simple, yet stylish this season. The usual Old English font is used for the LETRAN on the chest, and making their unis very unique this season is the use of a side accent that makes use of a cross-like pattern.
1 - UNIVERSITY OF PERPETUAL HELP
Taking the top spot this season are the Altas, with a throwback-inspired set. Reminiscent of the NBA’s Christmas Day jerseys from a few years back, UPHSD’s kits this year feature the word PERPETUAL in cursive on the chest, thin lines for the side accents, and the world ALTAS on the right side of the shorts.
