NCAA: Letran's Bong Quinto: 'Kung sinong tumalo samin, gagantihan namin'

Bong Quinto and Letran have trained their targets on first round tormentors Perpetual, San Beda, and LPU
As expected, Colegio de San Juan de Letran finds itself right behind favorites Lyceum of the Philippines University and San Beda University as the second round starts in the NCAA 94 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Thus far, the Knights have played up to their potential at 6-3 – with their three losses coming against the Pirates, the Red Lions, and University of Perpetual Help.
That doesn’t mean, however, that they are satisfied with where they stand.
In fact, the exact opposite is true.
Apparently, Letran is still stinging from those three losses – and want nothing more than to avenge all of them. “Pagdating ng second round, kung sinong tumalo samin, gagantihan namin,” main man Bong Quinto said.
That means that LPU, San Beda, and Perps should prepare for the determined Knights
That is even truer for the two teams ahead of them in the standings.
While there is no doubt that the Pirates and the Red Lions are the favorites, Letran still believes it can do something about that.
In fact, when a reporter started his question by saying that LPU and San Beda are virtually assured of the top two, head coach Jeff Napa quipped, “’Di pa naman siguradong top two (sila) e.”
And when the reporter clarified his question, coach Jeff then continued with his fighting words, “Edi panindigan nila ngayon na top two sila, pero ‘di pa rin sila nakakasigurado. Ganun kasimple.”
“Basta kami, we will just do our best para mapakita sa madlang people na deserving kami na nandun sa posisyon na yun,” he concluded.
