Inand Fornilos remained an unstoppable force just as College of St. Benilde remained an immovable object atop the leaderboard of the NCAA 94 Juniors Basketball Tournament.

With Fornilos posting a double-double and Joshua David flanking him, Joel Cagulangan didn’t even have to do much as the Junior Blazers ran away from San Sebastian College-Recoletos for a 76-65 decision on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The graduating forward had his way with whoever the Staglets put in front of him and wound up with 24 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks.

With Fornilos fronting the attack, the defending champions made a living in the paint, 44-20.

It was also him who dropped 11 points in their 27-13 third quarter that proved to be the difference between the two teams.

David was right there with him and tallied 19 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in CSB-LSGH’s ninth win in a row and 10th overall in 11 games.

Lead guard Cagulangan then chipped in relatively quiet numbers of eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

The Junior Blazers are still pacing the league even as Mapua High School and San Beda High School are right on their tail.

The Red Cubs got back on track there after enduring archrival Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 61-60.

Penny Estacio showed the way with 11 points, four assists, three steals, and two rebounds. Winderlich Coyoca and Kent Pelipal also scored 11 markers of their own to help the Red Cubs return to their winning ways now at 8-4.

On the other hand, the Squires were unable to build on the momentum they earned from their big-time win last Friday. Andrei Romenez gave it his all with 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals, but still saw his squad fall to 3-8.
