The Finals of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament this year will be feature the same two teams from the Finals of last year.
Only, San Beda University will be at full strength while Lyceum of the Philippines University will be sans main man CJ Perez in Game 1 of the championship round of Season 94.
Nonetheless, the Pirates still vow to go all-out against the defending champion Red Lions on Tuesday at the MOA Arena.
San Beda begins its final push for a three-peat while LPU begins its final push for a breakthrough title starting at 4:00 PM. Of course, all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD, iwantv, tfc.tv and livestream.
The Red Lions won the most recent meeting between the two teams and Robert Bolick, Javee Mocon, Donald Tankoua, and company have all the confidence in the world they could start the series on the right foot.
The same couldn’t be said for the Pirates who won their first round meeting, but will have to overcome the absence of Perez, serving a one-game suspension, before overcoming their opponents this time around.
Before the Seniors Finals, the Juniors Finals will also be a rematch between defending champion College of St. Benilde-La Salle Greenhills and runner-up Mapua High School.
Their own best-of-three championship round commences at 2:00 PM.
