San Beda makes up 60 percent of the NCAA 94 Mythical Team
For the first time in a long time, San Beda University has dominated the individual awards just like it has dominated the team standings.
Three Red Lions have made the Mythical Team in the NCAA 94 Men’s Basketball Tournament in Robert Bolick, Javee Mocon, and Donald Tankoua.
Bolick showed the defending champions the way to the top-seed with averages of 16.8 points in 49.1 percent shooting, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists while Mocon was right there with him with norms of 12.8 markers, 9.6 boards, and 2.3 dimes.
Tankoua, meanwhile, posted per game counts of 13.1 points in 52.2 percent shooting and 9.8 rebounds that were more than enough to place him at sixth in terms of Statistical Points (SPs).
However, he has taken the place of Lyceum of the Philippines University’s CJ Perez in the Mythical Team after the latter incurred a one-game suspension and has therefore been disqualified from individual awards.
Joining the three San Beda players in the Mythical Team are MVP Prince Eze of University of Perpetual Help (17.9 points in 49.8 percent shooting, 16.3 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks) and Bong Quinto of Colegio de San Juan de Letran (14.9 points in 43.6 percent shooting, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists).
