NCAA Season 94: Lady Altas snatch first win

University of Perpetual Help barged into the win column after crushing Emilio Aguinaldo College.
University of Perpetual Help made quick work of Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-15, 25-8, 25-16, Thursday to barge in the win column in the NCAA Season 94 women's volleyball competition at the Lyceum of the Philippines University gym.
Blanca Tripoli and Jhona Rosal showed the way for the Lady Altas, who erased the bitter memory of their five-set loss to San Beda University in the opener, with nine points each in the 55-minute duel.
Cindy Imbo and Shyra Umandal combined for 15 markers for the Las Pinas-based squad, which rained down 35 attack points and frustrated the Lady Generals at the net with eight kill blocks.
The Lady Altas also received 29 free points off EAC's errors.
The Lady Generals suffered their second defeat in as many outings.
No EAC player scored in double figures with Enrica Salud tallying a team-high eight points.
Meanwhile, the repeat-seeking Altas clobbered the Generals, 25-20, 25-16, 25-23, to remain unscathed in the men's division after two runs.
Ridzuan Muhali posted 12 points while reigning Most Valuable Player Joebert Almodiel and Ronniel Rosales had 10 markers each for Perpetual, which handed the Generals its first loss in two outings.
Noel Kampton and Sherwin Caritativo powered the reigning juniors champions Junior Altas to its second straight win in sweep of the Brigadiers, 25-19, 25-12, 25-16, to complete Perpetual's dominance.
Kampton got 14 points while Caritativo had 13 for the Junior Altas.
