NCAA Season 94 volleyball: Lady Stags back in win column
San Sebastian College's Joyce Sta. Rita breaks the block of Rhosselle Urriza of Letran.

San Sebastian College rediscovered its winning ways with a masterful, 25-22, 25-16, 25-22, drubbing of struggling Letran in the NCAA Season 94 women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Tuesday.

A week after seeing its two-game winning streak snapped by defending two-time champion Arellano University, the Lady Stags crushed the Lady Knights with a blistering barrage of attacks to capture their third win in four outings.

Playmaker Alexis Vea Sison maximized the firepower of SSC-R as she tallied 28 excellent sets in the Lady Stags’ 35 attack points.

Iris Oliveros led the Roger Gorayeb-mentored squad’s balanced scoring with 10 points while Joyce Sta. Rita, Nikka Dalisay Maryrhose Dapol and Shane Requierme posted eight markers each.

Letran dropped its third straight match after four outings.

Miracle Mendoza and Katleen Dela Cruz got eight markers each to lead the Lady Knights, who gave away 30 free points off errors.

Meanwhile, the Stags gored the Knights, 13-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-19, to even their record to 2-2.

Timothy Eusebio paced SSC-R with all but one of his 15 points coming off attacks while Kince Sanchez, Julius Lana and Robbie Pamittan punched 12 markers each.

The Knights fell to 10-4 mark.
