NCAA Season 94: Lady Stags gore Lady Generals for second win in a row

San Sebastian College submitted Emilio Aguinaldo College via sweep to jack up its win-loss record to 4-1.
San Sebastian College moved up to third spot after adding winless Emilio Aguinaldo College to its list of victims in an emphatic sweep, 25-19, 25-20, 26-24, Friday in the NCAA Season 94 women's volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Veteran hitter Joyce Sta. Rita led the Lady Stags' balance scoring with 11 points, all coming off attacks, while Nikka Dalisay punched nine of her 10 markers off kills for SSC-R's second straight win.
The Lady Stags improved to 4-1 win-loss record behind unbeaten defending two-time champion Arellano University and San Beda University, who both sport 5-0 marks.
SSC-R had 45 attack points compared to the Lady Generals' 27 in the 68-minute duel.
EAC continued to struggle in form, falling to its fifth straight defeat in as many games.
Jaylene Lumbo was the only Lady General in double figures with game-high 14 points.
Meanwhile, the Generals made quick work of the Stags, 25-23, 25-21, 26-24, behind Joshua Mina's 21-point explosion in men's play.
Mina, the current league-leading scorer, scattered 18 attacks and scored all of his team's three kill blocks as EAC improved to 3-2 mark.
SSC-R slid to 2-3 slate tied with idle Jose Rizal University.
In juniors play, the Staglets outlasted the Brigadiers in a dramatic, 21-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-13.
