Jose Rizal University bounced back mightily from a sorry setback with an emphatic, 25-21, 25-8, 25-20, sweep of listless Emilio Aguinaldo College in the NCAA Season 94 women’s volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Tuesday.
The Lady Bombers erased the bitter memory of a five-set defeat at the hands of San Beda University last week and vented their ire on the Lady Generals with a dominating win that evened their win-loss record to 3-3 as the league enters a two-week holiday break.
JRU moved up half a game behind fifth-running University of Perpetual Help (3-2). The Lady Bombers will return to action on January 3 against San Sebastian College, which is tied with College of St. Benilde at third to fourth with 4-1 slates.
The Lady Generals suffered its sixth straight setback in as many games to remain at the cellar.
