NCAA Season 94 volleyball: San Beda, CSB out to boost Final Four bids

College of St. Benilde sets its eyes on winning its fifth straight.
Streaking College of St. Benilde and San Beda University face separate foes Friday with both teams aiming to bolster their Final Four bids in the NCAA Season 94 women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Lady Blazers march back into battle after a long holiday break and will take on Lyceum of the Philippines University at 12:00 noon. Meeting in the 2:00 p.m. tussle are the Lady Red Spikers and Letran.
Both games will air via livestream.
San Beda sits at solo second spot with a 5-1 win-loss record behind league-leading and grand slam-seeking Arellano University while the CSB sports a 4-1 slate at third spot.
The Lady Blazers closed 2018 with a four-game winning romp including a 17-25, 25-22, 25-19, 27-25, victory over the Lady Red Spikers last December 17.
CSB’s win snapped San Beda’s five-game winning streak.
The LPU Lady Pirates hold a 2-4 slate while the Lady Knights carry a 1-5 card tied with Mapua University.
LPU is coming off a straight-set win over the Lady Cardinals while Letran is on a five-game slide.
