NCAA Season 94: LPU ends campaign on a high note

Lyceum of the Philippines University came back from a set down to beat Letran, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-20, Thursday to close their campaign in the NCAA Season 94 women's volleyball competition on a winning note at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Pirates finished their season at fifth place with a 4-5 win-loss record tied with Jose Rizal University and San Sebastian College.

Cherilyn Sindayen posted 19 points highlighted by 17 attacks while adding 24 digs for LPU.

Rocelyn Hongria scored 17 markers while Bien Juanillo finished with eight for the Lady Pirates, who took the victory despite committing 43 errors.

LPU unleashed 50 attack points, behind Monica Sevilla's 30 excellent sets, and landed nine aces.

Chamberlaine Cunada was the only Lady Knight in double figures with 11 points. Miracle Mhae Mendoza and Mariel Lariorque finished with nine markers each for Letran, which ended at eight spot with a 2-7 slate.
