The Lady Chiefs saw their eight-game winning streak snapped and denied of an outright Finals seat when Arellano U fell victim to the Lady Red Spikers last week in a rematch of last season’s championship series.

But the twice-to-beat Lady Chiefs will surely eye for a bounce back win in their 2:00 p.m. clash that will air will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

A win by Arellano U will bring the Lady Chiefs to their third straight Finals appearance.

But San Beda will try to prevent that from happening.

“Expect namin na babawi ang Arellano kasi defending champion ‘yun,” said Lady Red Spikers head coach Nemesio Gavino, whose wards fended off the sweep-seeking Lady Chiefs last week in a hard-earned 16-25, 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 16-14, victory. “Siguro ‘yung mga errors namin kailangan naming trabahuhin para mas maganda pa ang game namin.”

San Beda will try to capitalize on its huge end of elimination round win to force a decider. Game 2, if needed, is on January 29.

Cesca Racraquin, Nieza and Jeziela Viray, Sattriani Espiritu and Trisha Paras will lead the charge of the Lady Red Spikers against the Lady Chiefs’ Necole Ebuen, Regine Arocha, Princess Bello and Carla Donato.
