Letran looked good in its season opener in NCAA 95.
Colegio de San Juan de Letran has a new look for its new era.
The Knights busted out immaculate white uniforms for their opener in the NCAA 95 Men's Basketball Tournament opposite Lyceum of the Philippines University, Sunday at MOA Arena.
The new look was a breath of fresh air for the Intramuros-based squad which had been using blue-dominant jerseys for away games and red-dominant jerseys for home games.
As it turns out, though, Letran was only heeding the call of the first and oldest collegiate league in the country. "Ni-request ng NCAA," school athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo, OP told reporters.
He then continued, "Ang objection nila, yung red daw, hindi light, pero ganun naman kami ever since. Yung red yung light namin."
The last time the Knights wore their immaculate white uniforms was back in Season 88 in Kevin Alas's last year.
Since then, they have stuck to their primary colors of blue and red.
That is, until now, when they finally brought back their immaculate white jerseys and looked mighty fine.
