Marcos comes home to CSB after solid rookie year in UST
Makoy Marcos will be a much-welcome glue guy to help CSB continue contending in its Justin Gutang-era

Makoy Marcos will be joining forces once more with 6-foot-8 center Ladis Lepalam and long-limbed forward Mark Sangco - only this time, it will be for College of St. Benilde.

Marcos has relocated to Taft Ave. following a solid season as a rookie for University of Sto. Tomas. "Yun po kasi talaga alma mater ko. Galing po talaga ako rito at dito rin unang nag-tryout," he said, explaining his move.

In his first and only year as a Growling Tiger, he posted per game counts of 3.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 12.8 minutes of play all while proving to be the glue guy each and every team wound want to have.

Now a Blazer, the 6-foot-3 forward will be re-united with Lepalam and Sangco - themselves key cogs in CSB-La Salle Green Hills' first-ever championship in school history back in 2017. "Nandito rin halos lahat ng teammates ko nung high school so nagka-reunion kami ngayon," he said.

Meanwhile, Marcos' best friend in UST, Tobi Agustin, has also traded in the black and gold.

Instead, Agustin will now be donning the red and gold of Mapua University. "Sobrang laking bagay para sa akin na I'm with coach Randy (Alcantara) kasi nung high school, magkalaban kami tapos ngayon, magkasama na kami. alam niya kung ano yung laro ko and kung anong kaya kong ibigay sa team," he shared, recalling his time for Jose Rizal University High School.

The 6-foot-1 swingman averaged 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in nine minutes of play in his rookie year for UST.

Now in Intramuros, he wants nothing more than to showcase his skills even more. As he put it, "Ang goal ko this time is to show kung ano talagang meron ako."

Both Marcos and Agustin will be eligible to play for their new teams in NCAA Season 96.
