Colegio de San Juan de Letran will keep wielding its Swiss Army knife even as he transitions from NCAA Jrs. to Srs.
Joshua Ramirez has committed to remain in blue and red after a one-and-done season as a Squire.
“Mag-stay po ako sa NCAA at sa Letran,” he said.
Ramirez can do it all and put up per game counts of 13.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 27.3 minutes of play for Letran’s 8-10 campaign in the NCAA 95 Jrs.
He is being eyed to be a ready-made replacement for Jerrick Balanza who is playing out his fifth and final year.
Like Balanza, the 6-foot-4 swingman can score from the perimeter, as evidenced by his 33 total threes, as well as the paint where he can pull off nifty finishes with either hand.
At the same time, Ramirez can be a facilitator for his teammates, with the potential to be a triple-double threat much like Bong Quinto was in his last year in Intramuros.
Either way, the 19-year-old is a welcome addition for the Knights who are hoping to continue contending by finally reaping the rewards of its revitalized high school program.
