Defending three-time champion Arellano University and College of St. Benilde put their unbeaten records on the line against separate foes on Thursday in the NCAA Season 95 women’s volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Chiefs take on Jose Rizal University 12:00 noon while the league-leading Lady Blazers jump into action against winless Emilio Aguinaldo College at 2:00 p.m.

Matches will air via iWant.

Arellano U sports a 2-0 win-loss record at second to third spot tied with San Beda College behind no. 1 ranked CSB, which is unbeaten in three games.

The Lady Chiefs are coming off a one week break after sweeping Mapua University.

Veterans Regine Arocha and Carla Donato will be at the forefront of Arellano’s drive to keep its unblemished record intact against the Dolly Verzosa-led Lady Bombers, who are looking to bounce back from a sorry five-set loss to San Beda University last Saturday.

JRU is in a three-way tie at 1-1 with Mapua and Letran.

Meanwhile, CSB looks to solidify its hold of the solo lead when it squares off with 0-2 card toting Lady Generals.

With its wonder rookies Gayle Pascual and Mycah Go and Jade Gentapa providing consistent numbers the Lady Blazers are living up to their pre-season hype this early.

But CSB must keep its guard up with EAC shooting to end to a losing skid that started since Season 93.

In men’s pairings, Arellano U (2-0) and JRU (1-1) clash at 10:00 a.m. while CSB (2-1) and EAC (2-0) meet at 3:30 p.m.

In juniors’ play, Arellano (2-0) and JRU (0-2) square off at 8:30 p.m. while EAC (2-0) eyes share of the lead with defending five-time champion Perpetual at 5:00 p.m. against CSB-La Salle Greenhills (0-3).
