Three-time defending champion Arellano University shoots for at least a playoff for a semifinals twice-to-beat advantage against also-ran Emilio Aguinaldo College in the NCAA Season 95 women’s volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Game time is at 12:00 noon and will air via iWant.
The Lady Chiefs are at second spot with a 6-1 win-loss record behind unbeaten league-leading College of St. Benilde (7-0).
Arellano U is coming off a much-needed two-week rest and is tipped to stomp its class over the struggling Lady Generals with its superior firepower led by reigning Most Valuable Player Necole Ebuen, Regine Arocha, Princess Bello, Mikaela Juanich and Carla Donato.
EAC, on the other hand, remains at the bottom with a 1-7 card, tied with Mapua University.
Menawhile, the Lady Altas hope to close their elimination round campaign on a high note at 2:00 p.m. against Letran.
Perpetual carries a 5-2 card tied with San Beda University and is still in the footrace for a twice-to-beat advantage.
Letran holds a 3-4 mark.
In men’s play, the two-time defending champion Altas shoot for the outright Finals seat at 3:30 p.m. against the Knights.
Perpetual is unbeaten in eight games in a winning run that stretches since the last two games of the Season 93 Finals and a win will hand them the first championship seat that will put the semifinals in a stepladder format.
Letran, which has a 2-5 record, will try to score an upset.
EAC (7-1) will shoot to secure at least the semis second seed against Arellano U (5-2) in their 10:00 a.m. encounter.
