The doors of La Salle Green Hills have become arms welcoming healthcare workers in the frontline of the fight against COVID-19.
The San Juan-based school has offered its facilities to about a hundred frontliners from neighoring The Medical City as Metro Manila continues to be under community quarantine.
"Our healthcare workers continue to be at the forefront of the fight against this virus and some, including an alumnus of LSGH, have paid the ultimate sacrifice," school president Bro. Edmundo Fernandez, FSC said in a statement.
LSGH will provide sleeping areas, clean bathrooms, and full meals while also making a way for the healthcare workers to connect with their families via the internet.
In turn, The Medical City will make sure to disinfect its frontliners as well as the facilities they will be using.
In the end, Fernandez is nothing but hopeful that the entire LSGH community will be one in this effort. "This is our way of thanking them and recognizing the sacrifices that they and their families have made to protect the health of our loved ones," he said.
