ONE champ Folayang returns to Manila for first title defense
Eduard Folayang and Ev Ting will battle for the ONE lightweight world championship at ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny in Manila

Filipino MMA superstar Eduard 'The Landslide' Folayang of Team Lakay makes his in-cage return to Manila as he puts his ONE Championship world lightweight title on the line against challenger Ev "E.T." Ting at ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny, Friday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines.

Folayang, who won the title back in November of 2016 in Singapore against MMA legend Shinya Aoki, will be competing in front of a home crowd for the first time since suffering a devastating KO loss to Timofey Nastyukhin in 2014.

Folayang has since reached the summit of ONE's lightweight division, and will be headlining his first event in Manila as the man to beat.

Standing opposite Folayang will be Ting, a Malaysian-born fighter based in New Zealand, who's coming in with an impressive four-fight winning streak, two of which coming against Folayang's Team Lakay teammates in Edward Kelly and former ONE champion Honorio Banario.

In his last outing, Ting bested UFC vet Kamal Shalorus, who happens to own a win over the current champion.

Folayang won't be the only Pinoy fighting on the card, as four of his Team Lakay teammates will also be taking to the cage on fight night.

Former ONE bantamweight title contender Kevin "The Silencer" Belingon will look to continue his winning ways as he takes on Finland's Toni Tauru. Belingon will be looking for a measure of revenge, as Tauru's last outing came in the form of a submission win over Geje Eustaquio, also from Team Lakay.

Former ONE featherweight champion Honorio "The Rock" Banario tries to make it four wins in a row when he takes on late-replacement Jaroslav Jartim of the Czech Republic in a lightweight bout.

Looking to stay unbeaten in his young career will be Team Lakay rising star Danny "The King" Kingad as he faces off against Malaysia's Muhammad Aiman in a flyweight contest.

Finally, making her ONE debut will be women's atomweight prospect Gina "Conviction" Iniong, as she meets Fil-English fighter Natali Gonzales Hills in the opening bout of the night.

Also, Filipino fan favorite Eugene Toquero will try to bounce back as he takes on Indonesia's Stefer Rahardian.

In a Filipino versus Filipino matchup, Robin Catalan meets unbeaten Jeremy Miado.
