Filipino MMA superstar Eduard Folayang held on to his ONE lightweight world championship, defeating Malaysian challenger Ev "ET" Ting via unanimous decision, Friday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The champion was more aggressive on the feet, showcasing his arsenal of kicks and elbows, while also showing improved grappling by landing more takedowns.
Ting landed a number of hard shots throughout the fight and pressured the champion against the fence, but ultimately couldn't do enough to put Folayang away.
Folayang, who appeared to slow down in the third round, regained some momentum in the fourth and fifth rounds, ultimately doing enough to earn the unanimous decision nod.
