Friday evening, reigning ONE Championship Atomweight queen "Unstoppable" Angela Lee improved her unblemished professional MMA record to eight wins and no losses after submitting Brazilian challenger Istela Nunes in the second round of their championship main event at ONE: Dynasty of Heroes in Singapore.
The ever-improving Lee utilized her bread and butter against the devastating Striker in Nunes, taking the fight down and eventually locking in a slick Anaconda choke for the win.
The 20-year old was again impressive as she defended her championship sucessfully for a second time.
Even more impressive however, is that after the fight, ONE Championship founder and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong revealed that Lee had been diagnosed with 'a bad case of pneumonia' ten days prior to her title defense.
Lee's win in itself was very impressive, given that she had been hit hard in the early goings of the match and was forced to adjust in order to win. Knowing that Lee was not likely not at a hundred percent during fight night makes her feat even more astounding.
Congratulations, once again, to reigning ONE Atomweight world champion!
