Team Lakay's Danny Kingad will still be fighting in Indonesia after all.
Due to logistical reasons, ONE Championship has been forced to postpone what would have been their inaugural event in Surabaya, Indonesia, initially slated for Saturday, July 29.
As a result, one of the Pinoys supposed to fight on the card, Team Lakay rising star Danny "The King" Kingad, will be seeing action at a later date, in Kuala Lumpur.
In a Facebook post from Team Lakay head coach and manager Mark Sangiao, it was revealed that the 21-year old Kingad (6-0-0) will be joining teammates Kevin Belingon and Edward Kelly on ONE Championship's return to KL on August 18th.
Kingad will still be facing Mongolia's Getu Hexi.
Considered as one of the promotions's fastest rising stars, Baguio's Kingad will look to improve to 7-0 as he moves up in the ONE Championship flyweight ranks.
Before ONE returns to Indonesia however, they make their second trip to Macau, as Kingad's Team Lakay training partner and ONE strawweight contender Joshua "The Passion" Pacio takes on Japan's Hayato Suzuki.
Also on the Macau card, Pinoy MMA icon Eric "The Natural" Kelly, older brother of Team Lakay's Edward Kelly, makes his long-awaited return to the ONE cage to take on former champion Kotetsu Boku.
