At just 21 years old and with an 11-1 professional record, Team Lakay rising star Joshua "The Passion" Pacio may be still be young, but the caliber of opponents he's faced will show that he's far from inexperienced.

Two impressive outings into his ONE Championship career, Pacio was already thrust into the spotlight, being given a title shot against ONE strawweight king Yoshitaka Naito back in 2016.

And while Pacio showed in the first two rounds of that title affair that he was indeed deserving, just one mistake ended up costing him the match and his perfect record.

ONE Championship didn't give Pacio any easy outs in his first fight since losing to the champion, immediately putting him in against Thailand's Dejdamrdong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, a former ONE champion and three-time Lumpinee Muay Thai champion.

It would be easy to say that the younger Pacio was the underdog, but again, he proved otherwise, standing toe-to-toe with the Thai legend and emerging victorious.

The win cemented Pacio's standing as a legitimate top contender in the ONE Championship strawweight ranks.

This coming August 5th, Pacio returns to the ONE Championship cage as he takes on unbeaten Japanese newcomer Hayato Suzuki at ONE: Kings and Conquerors at the CotaiArena in Macau.

A win against Suzuki could set up another shot at the championship for Pacio.
