"The unstoppable has been stopped!"

Martin "The Situ-Asian" Nguyen made history when he became the first man to defeat Marat "Cobra" Gafurov, and in the process become the new ONE Featherweight World Champion at ONE Championship: Quest for Greatness, Friday evening at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nguyen did it in devastating fashion.

After surviving the previously-unbeaten Gafurov's lethal ground game, Nguyen detonated a well-timed overhand right on the Russian grappler's jaw to plant him on the canvass.

A few more big shots from Nguyen, and that's all she wrote.

Revenge is definitely sweet for the 28-year old Nguyen, as he avenges a 45-second submission loss to Gafurov for the interim title back in 2015.

The Australian improves to 9-1 in his career while extending his impressive winning streak to five straight, all of which coming via stoppage.
