Reigning ONE Championship Atomweight world champion Angela Lee was involved in a car accident in Hawaii, Tuesday, Manila time.
According to a Facebook post from ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, Lee, 21, was on her way to the gym for her morning training when she fell asleep behind the wheel.
Thankfully, Lee survived, only suffering a concission and minor burns.
As a result, Lee won't be competing in her scheduled title defense rematch against Japan's Mei Yamaguchi at ONE Championship: Immortal Pursuit in Singapore on November 24th.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Angela and her family, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
