Team Lakay strawweight star Joshua Pacio put on a masterful performance in front of a hometown Filipino crowd as he dominated Chinese foe Lan Ming Qiang en route to a first round submission win at ONE Championship: Global Superheroes, Friday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Showcasing his ever-improving ground game, Pacio took Lan down midway in the first round and controlled the fight from there, transitioning into mount and then raining down some vicious elbows.

The Baguio City native locked in an Arm Triangle choke, but couldn’t secure the submission.

Pacio found the opportunity to take Qiang’s back and from there, locked in a Rear Naked Choke to force the tap.

The stoppage came at the 4:01 mark of the first round.

Pacio improves to 14-2 in his MMA career and is riding a two-fight winning streak
