Team Lakay's Kevin Belingon honored in Ifugao Province

Congratulations to Team Lakay's Kevin Belingon!
Newly-crowned ONE Championship Interim Bantamweight World Champion Kevin 'The Silencer' Belingon of Team Lakay was honored in a special motorcade in his native Ifugao Province, Tuesday.
Belingon captured the world title at ONE's Reign of Kings card in Manila back in July 27th, defeating two-division world champion Martin Nguyen via Unanimous Decision.
It was Belingon's sixth straight win, but more importantly it finally puts him in front of the line to challenge reigning ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano Fernandes.
The motorcade brought Belingon and his world championship belt from Banaue and passed through a number of towns before ending in his hometown of Kiangan. The motorcade was followed by a celebration called 'Hamul'.
Belingon has always been proud of his Ifugao heritage, and has shown it by having the Kañao ritual as part of his cage entrance on multiple occassions.
