Filipina atomweight star Jomary "The Zamboanganian Fighter" Torres absorbs the first defeat of her career as she falls to Indonesian bet Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol at ONE: Conquest of Heroes, Saturday evening at the Jakarta Convention Center.
Torres came into the bout riding a four-fight winning streak, but seemed out of sync in her bout against Gaol, pushing to take the hometown girl down.
Torres managed to survive a pair of submission attempts in the first round, but ultimately couldn't mount any significant offense.
Gaol countered Torres' takedown attempts with some vicious knees to the head and shoulder, scoring points as the Filipina bet tried to bring the bout to the mats.
After three rounds, Gaol earned the unanimous decision victory on all three of the judges' scorecards.
Torres drops to 4-1 in her professional MMA career.
