Filipino mixed martial artist Jeremy "The Jagura" Miado got the Mall of Asia Arena crowd rocking during the ONE: Conquest of Champions preliminary card after scoring an impressive second-round TKO victory over China's Peng Xue Wen, Friday evening.
Miado, best known for his stunning KO victory over former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, was throwing bombs in the first round, looking for an early finish.
A counter right early in the second round from Miado was the beginning of the end for Peng, as the Filipino striker fended off a takedown attempt and landed another vicious uppercut to finish Peng off at the 35-second mark of the second round.
Miado improves to 8-3 in his professional record.
Earlier in the card, Thailand-based Filipino Rockie Bactol had a rough ONE debut as he fell to Japan's Akihirio Fujisawa via TKO in the third round.
Bactol was impressive in the first round, but lost steam in the succeeding moments as the Japanese grappler took over and overwhelmed the Pinoy for the TKO win.
Bactol moves to 1-1 in his professional MMA career.
