Pacquiao’s Longevity Still Benchmark In Eustaquio’s reign
"If God permits, I wish to compete in mixed martial arts at 40 years old like what Manny does in boxing. I believe that mixed martial arts is not as severe as boxing."

Watching Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao dominate Adrian Broner and defend his World Title at age 40 only gives ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio more fuel in his  own reign with ONE Championship.

Although in a different sport, the 29-year-old Eustaquio hopes to replicate Pacquiao's longevity, finding inspiration with how the eight-division World Champion manages to stay in tip-top shape for every bout.

"Manny is still a world class boxer at 40 years old. He is very inspirational, because when we age our speed and endurance would deteriorate. He still has those," said Eustaquio.

"If God permits, I wish to compete in mixed martial arts at 40 years old like what Manny does in boxing. I believe that mixed martial arts is not as severe as boxing."

The outspoken Filipino superstar will be going through a huge hurdle in his short reign as a World Champion when he looks to end his trilogy with Adriano "Mikinho" Moraes in the main event of ONE: HERO'S ASCENT on Friday, 25 January at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

"I am motivated to successfully defend my belt as well like what Manny Pacquiao did.”

The key for Eustaquio is getting the right people behind him, something that Pacquiao had in his illustrious career which continues to stretch for more than two decades now.

Having a great support group is one similarity that Eustaquio has with the boxer-turned-senator, with his band of brothers in Team Lakay backing him every step of the way.

"Manny Pacquiao has the right people backing him. I think that's one of the factors for a successful career. In my case I have Team Lakay as my family so I think I'm in a good spot.
