“I am thrilled to be joining ONE Championship. My experience over the last decade working to build the NBA into a global sports leader will be invaluable as I embark on this new challenge and help take ONE Championship to the next level." - Meghan Jenkins
The largest global sports media property in Asian history continues to bolster its leadership with the best the industry has to offer.
On Thursday, 31 January, ONE Championship appointed Meghan Jenkins as its new Vice President International.
She will come in with more than a decade's worth of experience with the National Basketball Association (NBA), working at the global headquarters in New York and the regional headquarters in Hong Kong.
Jenkins, who graduated with an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will formally begin her work with ONE this coming March.
“It is an absolute honor to announce that Meghan Jenkins has joined our senior leadership team here at ONE Championship as Vice President International,” said ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
“As a seasoned leader, Meghan will work alongside myself and the rest of our leadership team to help scale ONE Championship into the first multibillion dollar global sports media property in Asian history.”
Her role will be critical when it comes to ONE’s international growth, tapping new markets and strengthening the existing ones.
She is not new to the Philippine media landscape at all, as she tapped new opportunities for eSports in the country by bringing in emerging digital media platforms.
Her familiarity with the region, alongside years of experience working with the biggest brands in the world, makes Jenkins the perfect fit as ONE continues to expand its horizon.
“I am thrilled to be joining ONE Championship. My experience over the last decade working to build the NBA into a global sports leader will be invaluable as I embark on this new challenge and help take ONE Championship to the next level,”said Jenkins.
“Having spent the last few years focused on identifying opportunities across the Asia Pacific region, it is clear to me that there is significant untapped potential in Asia’s massive and growing sports media market and ONE Championship is uniquely positioned to capture a large portion of it.”
