Another Team Lakay representative will get to showcase his skills when ONE Championship heads to The Land of the Rising Sun, as flyweight star Danny "The King" Kingad meets former bantamweight title challenger Andrew Leone in a ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Quarterfinals matchup at ONE: A New Era in Tokyo, Japan.

A former flyweight world title contender in his own right, Kingad has been on a tear since losing to champion Adriano Moraes back in 2017. The 22-year old has racked off four straight wins, with the last two coming against fellow Flyweight Grand Prix participants Yuya Wakamatsu and Tatsumitsu Wada, both from Japan.

After a tough stretch at bantamweight that includes losses to Bibiano Fernandes and Kevin Belingon, Leone made the jump down to flyweight to test his luck and immediately finds himself in the Flyweight Grand Prix alongside seven other top-tier flyweights.

Rounding out the eight-man tourney are former champion Kairat Akhmetov from Kazakhstan, former bantamweight title challenger Reece McLaren from Australia, Brazilian newcomer Ivanildo Delfino, and of course, former UFC Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johson from the United States.

The biggest name on the list, of course, is Johnson, the long-time former UFC Flyweight King and pound-for-pound great, who will be making his ONE debut, alongside fellow former UFC champ Eddie Alvarez.

Kingad joins Team Lakay teammates Eduard Folayang, who defends his ONE Lightweight World Championship against Japanese legend and former champion Shinya Aoki in the main event, and Kevin Belingon, who defends his ONE Bantamweight World Championship against former long-time champion Bibiano Fernandes of Brazil.
