ONE: Folayang, Belingon aim to retain titles in Tokyo
A pair of Filipino world champions will look to retain their titles on ONE Championship's biggest event in Tokyo, Japan

ONE Championship finally arrives in The Land of the Rising Sun, as ONE: A New Era emanates from the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, March 31st.

Without questions the biggest card in ONE history, A New Era will feature 15 exciting bouts, including four world title bouts and a pair of highly-anticipated debuts.

Headlining the card will be none other than Filipino mixed martial arts icon and reigning ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard "Landslide" Folayang of Team Lakay putting his title on the line against former titleholder and Japanese legend Shinya "Tobikan Judan" Aoki.

This will rematch of their 2016 title bout that saw Folayang shock the world and defeat Aoki via third-round TKO to become a world champion for the first time. Since then, both Folayang and Aoki have had their respective ups-and-downs, and now, both on three-fight winning streaks, their paths cross once again.

Also defending his world title will be Filipino MMA star Kevin "The Silencer" Belingon of Team Lakay, who puts his ONE Bantamweight World Championship on the line against Brazilian icon and former long-time champion Bibiano "The Flash" Fernandes.

The third installment in this exciting and storied rivalry, Belingon and Fernandes are on even ground with a win apiece, and both will be looking to break the deadlock open. More importantly, this highly-anticipated bout will determine who is the top dog in the bantamweight division.

China's "The Panda" Xiong Jing Nan putting her ONE Women's Strawweight World Championship against Singaporean superstar and reigning ONE Women's Atomwieght World Champion Angela "Unstoppable" Lee, who's looking to be the first female two-division world champion in ONE history.

ONE Middleweight World Champion "The Burmese Python" Aung La N Sang of Myanmar also figures in a world title rematch as he faces Japan's own Ken Hasegawa in a do-over of their 2018.

Making their highly-anticipated ONE Championship debuts will be former UFC Flyweight World Champion Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson and former UFC Lightweight World Champion Eddie "The Underground King" Alvarez.

Johnson meets Japan's own Yuya Wakamatsu in a ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix quarterfinal bout, while Alvarez takes on Russia's Timofey Nastyukhin in a ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Quarterfinal bout.

Also, Team Lakay's Danny "The King" Kingad will look to advance in the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix when he meet's Japanese former champion Senzo Ikeda.
