Joshua Pacio scored a fourth-round knockout win over Yosuke Saruta to reclaim the ONE Strawweight World Championship
Team Lakay has a championship once again.
Filipino strawweight star Joshua "The Passion" Pacio reclaimed the ONE Strawweight World Championship in spectacular fashion, knocking out Japan's Yosuke Saruta in the fourth round of their world title co-main event bout at ONE: Roots of Honor, Friday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.
Pacio weathered some early trouble after getting knocked down by Saruta with a solid straight in the first round.
As the bout carried on, Pacio was more loose and grew more confident in his strikes, steadily getting the better of the Japanese star in the stand-up department.
Midway into the fourth round, Pacio uncorked a head kick that caught Saruta flush in the head, knocking the former champion out cold.
Pacio avenges his loss to Saruta from earlier this year, while becoming a two-time champion.
