Team Lakay's Joshua Pacio looks to reclaim gold in Manila
Joshua Pacio and Yosuke Saruta meet in a rematch for the ONE Strawweight World Championship at ONE: Roots of Honor in Manila

ONE Championship heads to the Philippines for the second time this year, as Manila plays host to ONE: Roots of Honor, featuring another stacked card of exciting martial arts action.

Filipino mixed martial artist and former world champion Joshua "The Passion" Pacio of Team Lakay will try to reclaim what he feels is rightfully his when he meets titleholder Yosuke "The Ninja" Saruta of Japan for the ONE Strawweight World Championship.

Baguio City's Pacio kicked off 2019 as one of Team Lakay's four world champions, but was the first to lose the title after figuring in a very close split decision loss to Saruta in Jakarta back in January.

ONE Championship's head honcho Chatri Sityodtong however felt that it was Pacio who did more to win the fight, and booked an immediate rematch for the title.

Now, the 23-year old Pinoy looks to reclaim the title and give Team Lakay and the Philippines a world championship once again.

Saruta on the other hand, is out to prove that his first win over Pacio was no accident and he deserves the title of ONE Strawweight World Champion.

Also on the card, Team Lakay featherweight Edward "The Ferocious" Kelly will try to bounce back and regain his status as a top contender in the division when he faces South Korea's Sung Jong Lee.

Edward's brother Eric "The Natural" Kelly will also be seeing action, as he tries to snap a five-fight losing skid when he meets another South Korean in Kwon Won Il.

Plus, surging Pinoy Flyweight Ramon "The Bicolano" Gonzales looks to continue his winning ways against Japan's Akhihiro Fujisawa in the opening match of the card.

In the main event, for the ONE Featherweight World Championship, reigning titleholder Martin "The Situ-Asian" Nguyen of Australia puts his title on the line against former champion and Mongolian MMA icon Narantungalag "Tungaa" Jadambaa in an match that's sure to bring fireworks.
