ONE Championship: Geje Eustaquio hungry and motivated in comeback, says coach

Former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio will be making his way back down to the ONE Championship cage at ONE: Enter The Dragon this coming Friday, May 17th at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

It will be Eustaquio’s first time back in the cage since he dropped the flyweight title to Adriano Moraes in their trilogy bout back in January.

Now, the Team Lakay flyweight star is more motivated than ever to get back on track, says head coach Mark Sangiao.

The 30-year old Eustaquio will be facing a promotional newcomer in Kyu Sung Kim of South Korea.

While Kyu may be less experienced, youth and height will be on the South Korean’s side, as he is four years younger, and a good seven inches taller than his Pinoy counterpart.

The Team Lakay mentor says that the massive disparity in height should not be too much of a problem, given that Eustaquio is no stranger to facing taller opposition.

More important than overcoming any height advantage however, is the fact that Sangiao sees a renewed sense of hunger and motivation in Eustaquio.

Sangiao beamed confidence as he guaranteed a good result for the Filipino flyweight star.

“Very motivated siya ngayon, andun yung hunger,” Sangiao shared.
