Filipina Jomary Torres returns at ONE: Masters of Destiny
"I've had many mistakes in my last fight and I want to bounce back and improve my game more."

Filipina atomweight Jomary "The Zamboanginian Fighter" Torres is due to make her second appearance on the global stage this year when she takes on Malaysia's Jihin "Shadow Cat" Radzuan.

The pair of well-rounded female athletes will clash on the undercard of ONE: MASTERS OF DESTINY  which is set to take place at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 12 July.

“I am so grateful that I was given another chance to fight," said Torres.

"I've had many mistakes in my last fight and I want to bounce back and improve my game more."

"The Zamboanginian Fighter" had a promising start at The Home of Martial Arts after she won her first three matches  inside the circle.

She pulled a shocker by defeating Rika "Tiny Doll" Ishige by way of second-round submission in her ONE Championship debut at ONE: KINGS AND CONQUERORS in August 2017.

Torres then followed up that win with a unanimous decision nod over Nita Dea on the undercard of ONE: HERO'S DREAM in November 2017.

And in what is arguably her biggest win to date, she beat Team Lakay's April Osenio by way of first-round knockout at ONE: GLOBAL SUPERHEROES in January 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

What seemed to be a fledgling career however came to a halt in her previous bouts.

Following her win over Osenio, Torres suffered her first professional defeat when she lost to Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol at ONE: CONQUEST OF HEROES last September by unanimous decision.

She tried to redeem herself against former ONE Atomweight World Title challenger Mei "V.V" Yamaguchi at ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS in December 2018, only to lose again via unanimous decision.

In her latest outing, Torres suffered her first defeat by way of submission after she was forced to tap by Lin "Fighting Sister" Heqin in the opening round at ONE: REIGN OF VALOR last March.

Torres claims she has learned from those setbacks.

“I’ve made a lot of adjustments and I’ve prepared well. I am excited to show my improvements in Malaysia, "

Radzuan on the other hand, has notable wins over Torres' conqueror Lumban Gaol and former World Title challenger Jenny Huang of Taiwan.

In her recent outing, "Shadow Cat" had her first taste of defeat after losing to Team Lakay’s Gina Iniong via split decision at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS last February.

Both hungry to get back to the winner's circle, the upcoming bout between Torres and Radzuan has fireworks written all over their upcoming contest slated for three five-minute rounds.
