“My goal is to become the ONE Strawweight World Champion. That’s what I am aiming for. That’s what pushed me to get some impressive wins and put on a better show.” - Lito Adiwang

Lito "Thunder Kid" Adiwang is ready to strut his wares in front of a worldwide audience after getting a lucrative six-figure contract to the ONE Championship main roster.

The fast-rising strawweight athlete from Baguio City defeated Anthony "The Antidote" Do by unanimous decision at Rich Franklin’s ONE WARRIOR SERIES 7 on 6 August in Singapore.

Eager to get down to business and make his mark in the strawweight division, "Thunder Kid" hopes to compete when The Home Of Martial Arts returns to the Philippines for ONE: MASTERS OF FATE on 8 November at the Mall Of Asia Arena.

“I’ll be ready. For me, it’s the perfect timing cause it’s only a few months away. I don’t have any injuries, so there’s no problem for me,” Adiwang said.

“Now it’s all about getting a bit of rest and recovery and then I’ll go back to training and prepare for November 8. If I’m given a chance, I’ll be ready. I’m really eager to join the card.”

His latest exploits inside the ring earned Adiwang a lucrative six-figure contract in his entry to the main roster of ONE Championship.

But despite an impressive showing in the developmental show, he was not exactly pleased with his performance and wants to make up for it in front of his compatriots.

"Now I’m eager to enter the Circle as soon as possible so I can showcase what I failed to show back then. Really excited to showcase the things that I can do,” Adiwang explained.

“My goal is to become the ONE Strawweight World Champion. That’s what I am aiming for. That’s what pushed me to get some impressive wins and put on a better show.”

Now that Adiwang has made a name for himself at ONE Warrior Series with his explosive striking and monstrous knockout power, he aims to do the same in the main roster.

"I’ll do my best, train harder, give better shows - then get a title shot."

Catch ONE Championship’s event ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH on 6 September in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. It will be the organization’s first ever all-Super Series event. It will be aired live on the ONE Super App.
