TOKYO, JAPAN - The Philippine flag will fly high in The Land of the Rising Sun, as five Filipino warriors get set to do battle in ONE: Century, the historic 100th offering of Asia-based martial arts organization ONE Championship, set to take place this Sunday, October 13th at the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo hall here.

Bannering the Filipino contingent will be none other than ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera as he makes his way down to the 102.1-kilogram division for the first time in his ONE career to challenge two-division titleholder “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang of Myanmar for the ONE Light Heavyweight World Championship.

The 42-year old Vera has been nothing short of dominant in his ONE career, but will definitely be tested by a man who has been equally dominant in Aung La, the promotion’s reigning middleweight and light heavyweight king.

The two will headline Part 2 of the massive two-part mega card.

In the co-main event of the same card, Filipino striker Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon of Team Lakay has his sights set on reclaiming the ONE Bantamweight World Championship against long-time rival and current reigning titleholder Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes of Brazil.

Belingon and Fernandes are set to clash for a fourth time in their careers, with their most recent meeting ending in a bit of controversy after accidental illegal blows to the head led to the Pinoy’s disqualification and dethroning.

The two bantamweight stars are both eyeing decisive victories in order to erase any and all doubts as to who is the company’s best bantamweight.

In a featured matchup on Part 2, former ONE Featherweight World Champion Honorio “The Rock” Banario hopes to end his two-bout losing skid when he meets former two-time ONE Lightweight World Champion and Japanese MMA legend Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki.

Co-headlining the first half of the full-day event will be Filipino flyweight sensation Danny “The King” Kingad of Team Lakay, facing American MMA star and former long-time UFC Flyweight World Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in the finals of the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix.

With Part I being aired live on American primetime television, the 23-year old Kingad faces the biggest test of his career, and he gets to do it on the biggest platform that he has ever been on.

The winner will be crowned ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix champion and will earn a shot at the reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes.

Speaking of bigger platforms, another member of Team Lakay makes his way up into the big leagues, as ONE Warrior Series contract winner Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang makes his ONE debut against Japanese champion Senzo Ikeda.

After putting on an impressive run on Rich Franklin’s documentary series, the Team Lakay strawweight hopes to be able to do the same on the main roster.

Some of ONE Championship’s biggest stars are also on deck, as ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee of Singapore puts her title on the line against a familiar opponent in reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan of China, while reigning ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee steps into the finals of the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix as a last-minute replacement for Eddie Alvarez to face Turkish knockout artist Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev.
