LIVE UPDATES - ONE: CENTURY Part I
Angela Lee faces Xiong Jing Nan, and Danny Kingad battles Demetrious Johnson in Part I of ONE Championship's biggest event ever, ONE: CENTURY!

ONE Championship heads back to The Land of the Rising Sun for their historic 100th event, ONE: CENTURY, emanating live from the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan this Sunday, October 13th. 

It will be a full day of exciting martial arts action from the world's biggest martial arts promotion, as ONE: CENTURY will feature two full-scale fight cards on the same day!

Part I, which begins at 8:00 AM, Manila time, will be headlined by a ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship match between reigning champion Angela Lee of Singapore versus the challenger and reigning ONE Women's Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan of China.

In the co-main event, our very own flyweight star Danny Kingad of Team Lakay takes on American mixed martial arts legend and former long-time UFC Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson in the finals of the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix.

MAIN CARD

Angela Lee (c) vs. Xiong Jing Nan (ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship)

Angela Lee exacts revenge on Xiong Jing Nan, winning via submission in the fifth round to retain the ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship! - Angela Lee defeats Xiong Jing Nan via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) - 4:48 of Round 5

 

Danny Kingad vs. Demetrious Johnson (ONE Flyweight Grand Prix Finals)

Kingad opens with strikes and then Johnson tries to wrestle but the Pinoy pushes him against the cage. DJ with the ankle-pick to get Kingad down. Kingad nearly gets caught in a choke but rmanages to roll out and pushes DJ back against the fence. DJ escapes and gets to side control and threatens for a kimura. Kingad defending the submission well, but DJ moves into mount briefly. Kingad escapes into half-guard before the end of the round. 

Kingad opens with a leg kick but gets taken down following an exchange. DJ moves into side control and then into guard, then back into side control. Kingad powers back up and immediately starts swinging. DJ doing a good job setting up takedowns with strikes and gets Kingad back down again. Kingad threatens with an armbar, but DJ escapes back into side-mount and then into half-guard. Scramble sees DJ attempt an armbar but Kingad slides out. DJ rolls back into Kingad's guard to end the second round. 

Kingad tries to keep the fight standing, but eventually gets taken down again. Kingad remainig active from the bottom but DJ keeping the pressure on the Pinoy. Kingad gets a takedown of his own off a scramble. DJ pops out and Kingad pushes him against the cage with a minute left. DJ gets another takedown, which should pretty much seal the win for the American. - Demetrious Johnson defeats Danny Kingad to become the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion. 

 

Janet Todd vs. Ekaterina Vandaryeva (Women's Atomweight Muay Thai)

Todd finishes off a combination with a fantastic head kick that folded Vandaryeva in the second round. - Janet Todd defeats Ekaterina Vandaryeva via KO (Head Kick) at 2:29 of Round 2

 

Christian Lee vs. Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev (ONE Lightweight Grand Prix Finals)

Dagi aggressive to start the match, throwing bombs, but Lee doing a good job of taking and evading. Lee gets it to the ground and ends the first round in mount, raining down ground and pound. 

Lee gets a early takedown to start Round 2, but Dagi gets up and swarms the lightwieght king. The two battle in the clinch until Lee gets another takedown. Lee moves back into mount and gets ambitious with a gogoplata attempt but Dagi escapes and swarms again. Lee with another takedown and moves right back into mount. Lee ends the second round, again in mount. 

Both men appear to be exhausted to begin the final round, but Dagi manages to tag Lee with solid jabs a couple of times before Lee decides to take it down to the ground again. Lee moves into mount again, but isn't doing too much damage. Dagi rolls out and gives up his back, Lee continues to punish with strikes. Dagi appears to be cut. Fight ends with Lee in side mount and Dagi covering up. - Christian Lee defeats Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev via Unanimous Decision to become the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Champion

 

PRELIMINARY CARD

Yuya Wakamatsu vs. Dae Hwan Kim (Flyweight MMA)

Wakamatsu picked his shots all fight long and was able to punish Kim in the standup department. In the final round, Kim, a former bantamweight, was able to take the fight to the ground, but it proved to do little to sway the judges' decision, as Wakamatsu left with the decision win. - Yuya Wakamatsu defeats Dae Hwan Kim via Unanimous Decision

 

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao vs. Daren Rolland (Strawweight MMA) 

Former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao returned to his winning aways with an impressive knockout in the second round. - Sam-A Gaiyanghadao defeats. Daren Rolland via KO at 1:20 of Round 2.

 

Yushin Okami vs. Agilan Thani (Welterweight MMA)

Strong opening round gor Okami as the Japanese veteran was able to impose his will on the ground. Towards the end of the round, Okami was able to lock in a deep rear naked choke attempt, but Thani powered out and survived into the second round. 

More of the same from Okami in the second round, and again, threatens with a rear naked choke but can't finish.

Thani with a much better showing in the final round as he turns the tables and keeps Okami grounded. Thani's rally wasn't enough however, as Okami still gets the split decision win, his first undier the ONE banner. - Yushin Okami defeats Agilan Thani via Split Decision

 

Itsuki Hirata vs. Rika Ishige (Women's Atomweight MMA)

Aggressive start for Hirata as she knocks Ishige down and follows with some ground and pound. Ishige survives and threatens with an armbar, but Hirata escapes. Hirata jumps into mount, and continues to punish Ishige on the ground with strikes. Ishige survives the barrage and pushes Hirata against the cage, but miscaclulates and finds herself back on the defensive to end the first round. 

More domination from Hirata in the second round as she continued to outstrike and outgrapple Ishige. Late in the second, Hirata caught Ishige in an armbar to get the submission win. - Itsuki Hirata defeats. Rika Ishige via Submission (Armbar) at 4:41of Round 1

 

Lito Adiwang vs. Senzo Ikeda (Strawweight MMA)

The first Filipino warrior is up as Team Lakay's Lito "Thunder Kid" Adiwang makes his ONE Championship debut against Japanese champion Senzo Ikeda. 

Quick takedown from Adiwang and immediately locks Ikeda up in a modified armbar and gets the TKO win due to injury! Huge debut win for the Thunder kid! - Lito Adiwang defeats. Senzo Ikeda via TKO (Injury) at 1:57 of Round 1 

 

Phoe Thaw vs. Yoon Chang Min (Featherweight MMA)

Yoon Chang Min gets an early takedown and dominates on the ground. Phoe Thaw had nothing to offer as Yoon overpowered and finished him off with a tight rear naked choke. South Koreans off to a 2-0 start at ONE: Century. - Yoon Chang Min defeats Phoe Thaw via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 3:17 of Round 1

 

Sunoto vs. Kwon Won Il (68.0-kilogram Catchweight MMA)

Action is halted early in the bout after Kwon lands an accidental knee below the belt. Taking a bit for Sunoto to get back up. Action resumes as Sunoto gets back to his feet, but not for long as he gets caught and finished with strikes within moments. - Kwon Won Il defeats Sunoto via TKO (Strikes) at 1:43 of Round 1
